I saw the Figarti V-1 launch ramp at the Hobby Bunker today, they were still in their shipping boxes. I couldn't purchase it because Matt's at a show in Florida and there's no priced yet, but his father let me have a look and said they should be ready to sell on Wednesday.

It comes in a two piece box that's more sturdy than the V-2's one piece box. The ramp is very detailed and packed in dark green foam. I didn't see the four figures because the store got so busy, I volunteer to packup the Conte Roman Ship someone had just purchased. I have one of my own and I was the only one in the store that knew how it went back in the box. And what a deal the guy got to, $336.00 on sale, for the $400.00 unpainted crew version. Heck the shipping alone is $62.00 on top of the $400.00 price from Conte's.

There was more Figarti items also, but I'll know more about what came in on Tuesday.

Cheers,
Paul

some pics would be great, there were some photo's from the chicago show posted and clive has one pic on his website of the launch ramp but haven't seen any other pics where you can look at in detail:)

I will be getting two sets as I want to modify one so I can make a five segment ramp, someday.

I can't post pics

You can send them to me and I will post them Paul.

This 5 segment ramp should be more correct...

Perhaps Figarti will do another extension release :)

Yes five or seven segment are correct.

This new release has the exit end port, so I will have to saw it off on one set and extend the support legs to make a complete run.

Hi Paul:

Why not contact Figarti directly as they may be able to help you out. Rick went out of his way to help me with a project. Best of luck with the set up!

Thank guys for your help but it looks like I have egg on my face

I was wrong about the five segment launch ramp.

There was a 6, 7, and sometimes 8 segment ramp.

Each ramp segment was about 19.7ft long and today I have my two Figarti G4011E sets.

The Figarti Launch ramp extention is 20" long and added to the first Launch rail the two item are 32" long.

I bought two set so I could make a 6 segment run. I will need to remove the launching lug muzzle brake on one set which is 1.6" long, and a little bit more and I can get the exact scale of the real 1/1

The real 1/1 scale 6 segment ramp is about 118ft. So I would think the Figarti Launching Ramp is in scale if any of you want to put 2, G4011E set together with a little tweeking you can have a scale V-1 launch ranp :)

The G4011E list at $169.00

Cheers,
Paul

Hello Nasir,

Rich would only have to make 2 new rail supports to keep the second added launch rail extension at the required 6 degree angle. Removing the muzzle break on one set wouldn't be to much trouble and you would have your 6 segment run :)

Hi Paul,

that's a neat DIY idea, but unfortunately, previous experiences had embedded with me that i am not that all handy with these things.

i'll consider the display space availability and may consider asking Rick.

i'll love to see your custom results later.

Thanks again mate.

Hi guys,

I've enclosed some photos of a V-1 Rocket site with extended ramp. It's in 1/35th scale but I bought it for the background diorama and this will become the Figarti V-1 Rocket site.

Hope you like!

Regards

Clive
