Leaving Manhattan (1 Viewer)

Exactly one year ago I visited NYC for the first time. What a great city. The people could not have been nicer, the pizza the best, would love to go again.
NYC is an experiance!

Brad, it's my favourite city in the world! You're lucky to be a resident!

There's an old saying...."when you leave New York you ain't going nowhere!"

No offence to all the other great cities out there but as far as diversity (160 languages spoken) and
"Character" it is in a class by itself.

Disclaimer....I grew up in NYC and have traveled to many of the worlds largest cities.

I like Manhattan but Brooklyn is my favorite place in New York because of two words:

I enjoyed visiting Manhattan just once. As I left I gave them a gift of my four hubcaps. John:smile2::(

So everyone can come this spring and we will make up for the absence of a West Coaster with a Symposium. In addition to some terrific local collections, there will be excursions to the American Airpower Museum, the new American Armor Museum and a Toy Soldier Show in New Jersey on Sunday. It won't be the same as the New York Symposia of the past, Larry's left us, and I can't afford fancy dinners like Hans, Larry and I used to host on my own, but there will be good New York deli and pizzeria food catered at my house for lunch and dinner Saturday. Ken and Erika Osen of Britains have already committed to coming, and I hope to have John Jenkins there as well. It will be the weekend of the show in New Jersey in early March.

Carlos,

It's a great city but very congested lately. Too many people!

I actually don't live in Manhattan but in New Jersey. I took the photos as our ship was leaving Manhattan. We're on a cruise and just arrived in Bermuda!
