it just occurred to me that of all my toy soldiers, not one is left-handed. before anyone says how can u tell, pick up a rifle or pistol or any object, and point it... see which hand is in front or see which side of the weapon your body is on... when i was drafted in '66, the army had me parading, drilling, etc. as a righty to conform with the mass. when it came to actual combat skills, they let me shoot lefty(nothing like seeing the brass flying right in front of your eyes) let me do close combat fighting lefty, bayonet training lefty, etc. a side note-- what ever small weapons i qualified with, i always was expert. my seargent made a lot of money off me by putting up the skills of a "jew from brooklyn" against all comers. anyway, i think it is up to king & country to be the first to have an actual left-handed soldier.. are u listing andy... thanks for letting me rant....

There is a left handed soldier already from K&C! Andy beat you to it. A quote from the book:

"Set YA01 consists of four “Battle of the Bulge” G.I.’s in brown, calf length overcoats, wearing brown ankle height winter boots, and helmets with webbing. The first kneels on his left knee, facing right, with a BAR in his right hand while his left hand reaches into an ammunition pouch on his belt. The second G.I. stands, firing an M1 rifle. The third G.I., a radioman, advances with a radio on his back, holding the receiver to his right ear with his right hand, and an M1 rifle in his left hand. The fourth G.I. advances with a rifle held left handed, angled to the right. The set originally retailed for $89."

are both hands on the rifle or is he just holding it in his left hand.... when on patrol, i found it faster for me sometimes to hold my weapon in my right hand and bring to sight.. it cuts out a step...

Both hands are in the rifle, his left hand is on the trigger. He's the lefty you are looking for my friend. Come by my place (its in Nassau County on Long Island) next week during the photo shoot and you can see it in person.

I just read under a "Snapple" cap under little known facts that 11% of the population is left handed.

Maybe Ned Flander's store Leftorium might have some lefty soldiers. :)

I'm pretty sure the grenade thrower in the original FJ03 set is a left hooker. At least I can't imagine throwing anything very accurately or effectively with my left hand.

That's funny!!

If memory serves, when I was in basic, I think the army has actually addressed this situation- I remember one of my buddies- yes, a little guy from Brooklyn, was a lefty as well - Viera- anyway, if I recall, he would either have a different foxhole or they would give him some kind of solid plastic deflective shield/ apparatus to block the brass from kicking back at him.
