Hi all,

I would like to show you in this thread some pictures I will be uploading from my Legion Condor collection. This serie was a dream come true for me (and some others I guess) specially because this came out of JJD which made a outstanding and underrated work.
As I was born in a very small town -Archena-, it never saw a big civil war battle, however there is an interesting date: The Soviet armored school and tank training grounds were at this little town. Actually my parents house was located only 2 km from that tank school. Also the school of driving and shooting and the workshops of repair and mechanical training were located in the Graduated Schools Miguel Medina.... which was my school for 4 years long time ago {sm4}

I'm assuming your town was under Republican control most of the GCE. That there was probably not a big battle near your town or Murcia I assume is fortunate for you and your family. I come from a time and lived in Spain (mid 60s) when the War was still relatively fresh in everybody's mind. My father had a copy of Hugh Thomas' book and having one could get you in a lot of trouble. That book still holds up well years later. My father had a friend who told me stories about Barcelona under Anarchist control. Quite interesting to say the least.

I have many of John's Civil War issues, not enough Republican issues (and too many Nationalist) to suit my taste though. I hope we see more Spanish Civil War issues some day.

Would like to see more releases as well - perhaps a couple of Republican Infantry sets to support the tanks
