How well do the Lemax Christmas figures scale with the matte W. Britains WWI series? I'm after some of their civilian figures to repaint as refugees.

It depends on the figure, but my experience is that they are close to the 1/30 or 60mm scale of Britain's (and other manufacturers') matte figures. I have repainted a number of the standing Santa Claus - one of the basic figures available every year, and beginning in December 2020, making a pleated blue face mask from thin plastic strip and model ship rigging, to create a "COVID Santa" that I gifted as presents to friends and family. The resin sculpting of many of the figures and animals is quite good, and just needs batter repainting.

The deer family - buck as one piece, and the doe and fawn on another, also looks fine, but needs a more accurate repainting. Repainting the bases as brown/green lets them also be used in springtime dioramas.
