I think slightly repainted to a less gaudy color will really make these neat. Too bad these are probably off the shelf by now. Hopefully they might be back next christmas?

I cruise the lemax isle like a crack addict everytime I go by a hobby lobby or Michaels.....looking for these kind of things. Dollar stores somethimes cough up surprises as well.

Even with LEMAX's simplification or the figures they have a better possibility of blending in with several periods. I would repaint just color code these figures to be in a cantina or saloon. Maybe in San Antonio before March 6, 1836. LEMAX also has a new Catholic Priest figure in vestments to add to their nuns, monks and two Protestant ministers. Clergy figures make great additions to military scenes.
