The past week has brought out a rash of snarky and rude behavior on the forum. Some assumptions that have been made:
  • If someone collects something that I don't like (or don't like the price of), then obviously they are stupid
  • If someone mis-types something, we are free to mock them
  • If I don't care for someone, I can follow them all over the forum and insert snarky comments as I wish
  • 'Person X ' gets a 'free pass' on the forum and gets to do whatever they want (it's a funny argument for the mods to hear, because ALL sides of issues assume that the mods give preferance to the 'other')
  • If I can't afford something, then nobody else should either
  • If I say the same things enough times in enough places then everyone will agree with me
  • Horses were raised to be beaten, especially after they have been deceased and start to smell

It's time to calm down and get back to enjoying this hobby. Make some dios. ID some long lost figures. Banter with your friends. Smile a little.

All together now...hold hands...let's sing...Kum-Ba-Yah....

Amen, Padre!

Also, I have a brilliant idea for a club figure, or better yet an exclusive set to TF:
A Napoleonic dragoon's horse, dead, and the rider attempting to rouse it with his whip.{sm4}^&grin

I think part of the trouble has been too many Arnhem threads and polls. Because people go onto each and put their view it appears that they are repeating over and over. Cut one of the polls, fold the threads into one and ask folk to try not to repeat themselves over and over (be they for or against) as this does wind folk up.

Just an idea.

I did think of doing that Rob but as there are some many thread and on going discussions. If I merged them they would not make any sense.

Yes sorry Scott, it wouldn't would it. No offence to the other Scott but I also think for some reason many folk hate polls all the time.
