I just noticed that 4 more new dragoons have been released the exact same as the limited addition but painted like the old dragoons!! Is this old news or new news..odd to release the figures twice...isnt it.

Andy stated that he had many requests to offer the limited edition series in the Empress series paint style, that is what has just been released. They will be available in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the reply, just trying to catch up on collecting napoleonics and find i'm never behind the 8 ball!! Is it even worth getting the others if you have the limited edition set?

I guess it would depend on your personal preference. If you are setting up a display I would use the Empress sets and not the limited editon sets because of the future value, unless thats not why you purchased the limited edition sets.

I like them both and have both.

I buy these items because I like them..or maybe thats too weak of a word..love them I mean, I don't want to destroy the value though, how much will something like this increase too?

ps I have very little knowledge about the prices of these after the fact

I just ordered my limited edition dragoons...they should arrive tomorrow.. :)
I dont know if I will order the empress dragoons considering they are the same thing with different paint. Anyone else have a comment on getting them?

I have just started collecting the Napoleonic sets. I have seen what the K&C tanks and vehicles have done in value and availability, especially when they are retired early or are in limited runs like the Stug, and I am assuming that the same will occur to the, what I consider to be, most beautiful sets K&C makes. The French calvary are absolutely my favorite pieces, even more than the WWII stuff (although I have never seen an Egyptian piece) and I intend to never sell them. I plan to purchase a number every NA infantry piece in the series. I have just bought one each of the NA41, NA45, and NA46's (all three are retired and Treefrog did not have them). Shannon and Pete have the remainder of the Dragoons on their way to me later this month.

Even if the latest editions are not the same paint as the limited editions, I will still get them. I am not purchasing this stuff as an investment. I puchase them for the pleasure of collecting and enjoying the experience of setting them up for display on a diorama. I used to get my kicks in very different ways, but now I have reached a level of achieving satisfaction in collecting my soldiers. My children and grandchildren enjoy them and that makes it fun too. Michael :)
