Hi , Could some one help me value this Lineol 88 cannon. I looked all over for it in the books I have here but that don't mean I could not have looked over it. I found one like it on Ebay & one at a collector site & the prices were crazy. I did not know if people actually got the prices they were asking or if they were just nuts.

Here is a link to my photobucket http://s5.photobucket.com/user/Kyle68/library/?view=recent&page=1 the first 7 pictures are it. Thanks again,Kyle

This 88mm Flak 18 looks to be in great condition. These are never inexpensive and if you plan on selling it you should do well.

This one should also go for crazy money if you decide to sell it. Its in fantastic condition! I saw one that was like it in a museum this past year so ask for the moon and you may well get it.

Thanks for the help ! I am selling it don't know rather to go to ebay or what. I am open to offers don't mind selling it a little lower than the others I seen but not a ton. I saw one for $ 1,275 & another for 1,695 I did not know if they really went that high or people were just asking that.

If any one wants to make an offer on this or wants more pictures please let me know. Keep in mind I don't have total say so In this I have to run everything past the 3 sisters. I personally would rather sell it to the people here helping me but you know working with 3 women is not always easy.lol

lineol1_zps4bd06fb1.jpgOk Just curious here does anyone know what this thing is actually worth or where there in an appraiser for this type of thing ? People here told me there not cheap but what is not cheap $ 200-500 500-1000 Etc . I just want to figure out a fair price on it.

Maybe check-out as many of the Toy Soldier Auction sites as you can. Check out the dates sold too - and this may give you an idea of the prices realised at the time

Here's one to start you off.

http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/15835/lot/1259/

It's dated 2008 - and the price realised THEN is shown. As the piece is old (1938/9?) and quite rare - it may well be worth more now. I think this originally came with a crew - so it is technically incomplete - but as it is so rarely found in good condition - it won't really matter to a serious collector.

My advice is to check out as many Auction sites as you can - and make a list, to try and check values at the time sold
which should give you a better idea of monetary value now - and so asking price.

A check on Google Images first - may show up a few pictures - and then by clicking on each one - you may get to more sites - and values. Values may be in various currencies - but there are plenty of sites which will convert to the currency of your choice.

P.S. If you have the original box - say so - or not - as this can affect the value of the piece.

Hope that makes sense - and helps. Good luck. jb

Thanks I searched on it a while back & did not find much . I will try the search again & see what I come up with. The only thing I found before was some one asking 1,275 for one & another for 1,695 but just because they were asking that does not mean it is worth that. I had it on 2 Ebay auctions & did not renew the auction last time when it ended.

Hello dear friend

as already told in another post

LINEOL is still existing and reediting in metal since some years now, including lot of tanks, cars, trucks, guns ... ( I'm afraid some people on ebay are selling reedition without mentioning it )
So just send Lineol, directly, a mail to ask price

this is what they answered to me just 2 weeks ago :
" ...
all products on our homepage you can buy directly by us.
We don’t have a complete price list at the moment.

The prices are:
Painted figure = 30,00 €
Painted horse with figure = 75,00 €
Unpainted figure = 15,00 €
Unpainted horse with figure = 40,00 €

The shipping cots to Belgium are different:
Maxibriefkarton = 7,50 €
Small parcel = 12,00 €
Big parcel = 20,00 €

If you have any questions just ask.
Best regards

Thanks everyone for your input ! After a bit more research it seems that these things are selling for any where between 275 to 500 depending on the condition. I have something better to go by now. I would think this one is worth at least $300 with the condition it is in so I will start some where around there.
