A new Tiger I in 70mm size is in production in Germany by Lineol. The all metal Tiger I #222 is Wittmann's Villers Bocage ride. A very impressive model with all hatches opening and interior turret detail. No figures come with the Panzer but they are available individually. Detailed photos are available on Ebay, item # 291856575775. The seller is Lineol-Modellfiguren. The model is 14.6"Long X 6.1"Wide X 5.1" High, larger than the 1/28 scale TCS Tiger I, with better detail and accuracy. Lineol is making a new line of 70 mm all metal models and figures that include a PAK 40, and a Nebelwerfer.

Thanks for the info Kat. It does look very impressive although the price tag of $1075 USD is a bit to rich for my blood! The detail looks amazing though and this includes interior detail. Here's the link if anyone wants to have a squiz.

Makes FL items look like a great value now. {sm4}

Less detail than FL and a lot more expensive so I'm not sure what the appeal is. The figures are pretty crude looking, like Britains or ONTC stuff from about 10 years ago.

Probably because it's made out of "all metal" as opposed to resin or what ever FL armour is made out of. A lot of people prefer weight in there models as opposed to being reasonably light. It's also around 1/25 scale and is fully articulated with interior detail.

I agree it's pricey and only time will tell on how many they sell and if it's a success. I would give it a chance before bagging it and I hope Lineol do well with the sales.

The appeal of an all metal Tiger I is similar to that of the 1/15 scale FOV Tiger I; which is only partially metal. The many opening hatches allow for many display options. The larger K&C and TCS 68+ mm figures will work well with this model IMO. The VsTank Tiger I and Kingtiger is the same scale with equivalent quality and detail; but is far less expensive at $ 175.00.

Given the FL price of $450.00 for an M48 , I hate to think what an FL Tiger I would cost. I would prefer the VsTank models , which I have previously posted photos.
