I forgot to tape the game and I'm about ready to kill myself but followed the game through the BBC. Must have been something else at Anfield.

So, what do our British colleagues think about the match?

I enjoyed it.Despite what Chelsea's manager said i thought Liverpool had the better of the game and deserved to win.Now if Man Utd can win tonight it will be a Utd v Liverpool final, would be some game.

Being a ManU supporter, what can I say? Still on course for another treble :)

Jeff

Hey Jeff, how's you?.I think Utd must still be faves to win.Would be great to have an all England final.I'm a Cricket fan myself but still enjoy the big football matches on tv,and never miss an England game.

That's true but when you've followed a team since you were a boy and they're so close to a treble, it's a real bummer.

Speaking of the treble, I'll never that match against Bayern Munich a few years back when they literally pulled victory out of the jaws of defeat. That had to be the most incredible few minutes of football I've ever seen.

Yes, 1999. I was on my way to the kitchen to put my head in a bucket of water when Utd scored the equaliser, the noise in our house was tremendous when they scored the winner :) As they say "It's not over till the Fat Lady sings". :D

Btw, I gather that you follow Liverpool.

Jeff

That was an amazing game, simply stunning. As you say Jeff at least an English side is in the final so come on Liverpool!

Rob

My team once won the European Cup! :)
We beat Bayern 1-0 in the final.

Tony Morley went on a run down the left wing and crossed the ball for Peter Withe to just about sidefoot it in.

C'mon you Villa!

Chelski (an English team?) were due to meet Man Utd in the FA Cup Final on Saturday 19th May anyway, so it's quite fortunate that neither made it to the Champions League Final on Wednesday 23rd May. (I could imagine the media uproar had a Chelsea reserve team faced a Man Utd girls team in the FA Cup Final, or, had they played their 1st teams, could you imagine the amount of trouble brewing between players that would spill over into the Champions League final?)

I like the idea of a Liverpool -v- AC Milan final, as they both represent quite a lot of the qualities of their national leagues. I intensely dislike Berlusconi but do admire many of those Milan greats, and it'll be great to see them not only get "one last chance" but also against those who 'stole' the 2005 Final.

Looks like the Hammers survived, but questionably. I was reading the BBC this morning and it looks like they'll need to survive an investigation. I feel badly for Sheffield and Neil Warnock but ultimately it's your responsibility to decide your own fate although this may be the instance where they really did get screwed.

you ready.................I am sorry................Here i ggggggggggggoo

I saw on the BBC today that even though the EPL won't further investigate the West Ham incident, FIFA has announced it will. West Ham could be making the drop!

My paternal grandmothers family left the Manchester area almost a hundred years ago. That makes me a Machester fan:p

Arrggghhh but Kilted

That would make you a Manchester CITY fan not a Manchester United fan.............The joke in the UK is that no Man United fans come from manchestaarrrr.

Joke. How many manchester united fans does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer 3

why? 1 to change the bulb.......1 to drive the car up from Plymouth. ......and one to hold the crisps.:D

Tony PPPPPpppplllllllllllllllayyyyyy up POMPEY POMPEY PLAY UP
