Lombardi...

I just watched this newly released...made for HBO documentary...

he was a little ahead of my time...so I never knew his history or story well...

but this is a great bio on the man...

if you're a Packer fan...you will love it...

if you're a Giants fan...maybe not so much...

it's a good watch...

It is a good bio. I was never a Packers fan, quite the opposite, but came to soften my stand on Lombardi when he became coach of the Redskins. The doc is quite a time capsule for me, especially the 2 games against the Cowboys in '66 and '67 (the only time I have really rooted for the Cowboys). The doc is a real inside look at the man and coach. -- Al

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and it was tremendous. I don't think you have to be a Packer fan or even a football fan to appreciate the influence he had on the people who played for him. Just take a look at the photo of Jerry Kramer holding Coach Lombardi after Super Bowl II and you can see the bond he had with his players.

You can only wonder how far the Skins would have gone under his stewardship.
