New Venue - Been reading through the comments and all I want to say is give it a chance, lets wait until there has been at least 1 show there before making judgement.
I exhibited and was a visitor to the shows at the Design Centre and the National Hotel, on exhibiting at the Design Centre, it was expensive and the costs of parking made it quite expensive, visiting was OK, there has been a decline in exhibitor numbers and the last show was very poor, which is shown in my expenditure, about half as much, £250, as the previous few shows, as there was little of interest to buy. While at the National Hotel, it was always too crammed together and spilt halls, I think we look at the National Hotel shows through rose tinted glasses.

The new venue is really no further for me from Paddington, I know that may not be the same for others, but can only speak for myself, so let's give it a chance.

I fully agree. If we want a show we will have to support it. I will be there too; and no need to go up and down. All the vendors in one level.

Hi Guys,

I only managed to go to the design center venue twice and though it was a lousy layout for a show. I didnt have to park but get around the town on the tube and walk so for me that wasnt a big issue I guess I just didnt care for the split level. Wish I could be there this December but that isnt in the cards for me, maybe in a year or two I can convince my wife to go again. Time will tell. All I can say is have fun and dont forget to post photos for all of us who cant make it.

We will be there! We've done London-Paris- now London again for a December long-weekend jaunt. I've bought figures both previous Decembers, so hopefully there'll be somebody there with WWII K&C figures that are on my shopping list. Sadly, this will be the last of the Christmas shows for this tour of duty as we'll rotate back to The States this time next summer.

I've been waiting to hear if anybody's found a pub close to the new venue?

I should probably update my photo but, unbelievably, it's my 50th birthday on December 02nd the day of the show.

I don't know if Mrs Simmo has anything planned but if not then maybe I can persuade her that a trip to London might be nice....

PS. The photo was only a few years ago (2013) when I was enjoying a pint after running the London marathon.

Have booked the bus tour and we are there during the London show.
I hope we have a nice day with our treefrog friends
See you in London on December 2 at the new location.

Richard :salute::
