Toy soldiers of San Diego will annouce their new WWII plastic set at the West Coaster. I won't be able to attend but let me know they measure up. The previous sets are awesome.

You're a lucky guy Alexdakar, you have the skill and patients to make good plastic molds come to life with a little paint here and there.

Okay, okay, okay, they're not KC but they're pretty cool. I especially like Nick's (TSSD) painted GI's.

I'll be at the West Coaster and plan to take pictures (with the exhibitors permission and post them on the Forum. I can't promise you expert photographs because of the venue, moment, lack of tripod, file size limitations, etc. but at least it will give you an idea what's out there and the experience the rest of us our having at the show.

Great job! My two tables at the West Coaster are always across the aisle from Nick's 8 or 10 tables. Although I don't generally collect plastic, I liked his long coast Germans so much I decided to buy them at the show. I just hope they don't have droopy gun barrels.

What a cool job. I have many conte WWII guys, my grandson is playing with them as I type this, and have thought about giving it a try. I have seen some great hints on another thread about painting procedures, like black primer first and work to light colors from dark.

How much time does it take, on average, to paint a plastic guy? Michael

I think it takes around 20 minutes each but not sure because I paint them in batches of 8 through out the week taking my time.
