Are there any long range plans to release a French artillery limber? The one I would like to see would have four standing horses waiting behind the guns. An ammunition wagon would be nice as well. As long as I am doing wishful thinking, I would also of course like the two mounted team driver. The team drivers had such an interesting uniform.

To ask a more general question, will FL be releasing any support artillery vehicles besides just the cannons?

That is a Great question and I look forward to the answer ;) would love to have the whole Enchilada. I'm sure it would be pricey but I'm in ( seriously wouldn't that be Great ) .:D French Marines would also be cool and I think there were some at waterloo

These are both interesting suggestions and we would eventually like to produce both of course. The Marines in particular play a very large role in the 1813 Campaign and though we haven't done a battle specific to 1813, the troops we're bringing out with Borodino and for Waterloo are of course very useful for forming the nucleus of what you need for the creating the 1813 battles as well. We hope to be doing this for a very long time, so Marines and special pieces such as Limbers will no doubt be covered at some point. As for a standing limber vs a moving limber, we'll have to see as I have a feeling collectors would be pretty divided over that issue!

Matt

Matt , Thanks for the quick response to the Kings Mann ,I'm so glad of your mention of the 1813 Campaign as my main focus is outside of the two Battles you have chosen to launch your Napoleonic line but I am not complaining both Dresden and Leipzig etc... can wait for know. Could i ask one quick question is the same sculptor going to be doing the future staff sets that created your fantastic Russian staff set ? As i would really love to have a Prussian staff set that is up to the same standard obtained in the Russian set the likenesses to period paintings is just outstanding (see website for those who don't yet own it ). Keep up the Great work and a Wonderful Holiday season to you and your whole staff even the warehouse crew in Texas ;). All the best Gebhard

Well since you mentioned artillery I would like to bring up the RHA again. It would be nice to be able to fit that into Fuentes and Ramsey was also at Waterloo.

As for standing versus moving, with a little creativity, you could cheat and have both with one set. If you showed the horses at a trot and made the riders removable, they could also serve as simply excited when the gun was unlimbered, as any normal horse would be on a battlefield. Horses can literally trot or canter in place. Consider this example for some options on the positions of the horses that would work either way.

First off, I do think that First Legion could no doubt create a very beautiful limber set. And for those who desire a more complete artillery dio, I can understand that need for such a set.

However, I do think there are a lot of other things to get to first. There are so many different units, whether infantry or cavalry, that I feel would be better sellers that a limber set.

But....But.... I want it all NOW!!!
There are so many great subjects yet to be done and each release is a treasure as it is. A French ambulance would be an interesting release for sometime down the line. I am impatiently waiting for the Highlanders and Russian infantry.

Yes that is a problem. Of course most of us couldn't buy it all now so some delay in gratification is actually a blessing.;):D The Highlanders and the Peninsula are naturally at the core of my impatience nonetheless.:D
