I'm thinking about getting Figarti's Long Tom but remember reading at least one person having damage right out of the box. Did anyone else have any problems?

Mine came out very easily and in great shape. I just finished putting some Build-a-Rama bocage sets around it and the green camo netting over it. The gun itself is tremendous. The only thing that I would say bad about it is that it does not come with the boggie wheels for towing.

Cheers:

No problem at all in the Southwest Sector. She arrived safely & in perfect condition. Great set I might add!

Enjoy,

Sounds like a good dio. Can you post some pictures?

Mine came in perfect condition. But when I elevated the gun, the hinge on one of the hydaulics holding the gun snapped. I noticed that the hinge is glued in place. It was an easy fix but it has to stay in a fixed position or it will snap again. My other Long Tom is okay

So, would you say this model is fragile in general or you were just unlucky with the one you received?

Is the gun designed to be raised and lowered as you wish?

I had the broken Long Tom. It's a nice piece, but like all Figarti sets they are very very fragile. The gun on mine would not stay elevated until I super glued it in the up position. When I bought mine they're were none left anywhere so I dealt with it. If I had it to do over again I would have send it back to the dealer.

The gun is designed to elevate and it holds the angle position you wish. It is very fragile. I guess it is an unlucky one. My other Long Tom ( I bought 2) looks perfect.

Factual Logistics...

A38029 "Long Tom" was $199.00
A4100 Loading the "Long Tom" was $99.00

Both can be purchased together as a set at the original issue price from Sierra Toy Soldiers or the Hobby Bunker. I believe there may be only two sets available between the two dealers. Buy it & enjoy it. Once again, a splendid set.

Are you saying you can't buy the Long Tom just by itself from either dealer?

Cheers Kurt:

Check out the respective web sites below as that is the way they have it listed-as in a set of two. I could be wrong but I doubt you will find the set(s) anywhere else in the U.S. The Grey Goose appears to have one at $139.99 U.K. POUNDS. As for the additional figure set, I think it is well done. Best of luck.
