Wonderful tribute Wayne. I've visited Pozieres as it where the Canadian Corps entered the Battle of the Somme after the Australians has seized Pozieres Ridge. Hard to believe the casulties suffered geting to that point and all the casulties yet to come before the offensive concluded in November.

These two before the battle and after the battle photos of the town speak to the tremendous artillery fire power unleashed by both sides.
