Does anyone have a Britains #17244 Forward with the Colors set they would be willing to part with, or does anyone know where I could locate one? This is the Art of War Dale Gallon American Civil War set which includes 5 figures and a cannon. It originally appeared in the 2001 catalog. An elderly collector contacted me today looking for this set and health does not permit him to become a forum member or pursue his search on eBay.
If you have any leads on this set please contact me.
Thanks!

Hi Shannon,

Thats a tough request but I have seen some recently. There is one site that I know has the set listed and they are usually good about keeping the website updated.

Go to Newbury Toys they are in London (UK) and have a phone number of 020-85296882 (I dont know the country code from here) Their web address is as follows:

www.toysoldiers.org

They have the set listed under the Britains Civil War section nearly at the bottom of the page at 85 GBP. I dont know what the shipping would be.

I have seen it from time to time on ebay but they usually get grabbed up quickly. Also, you can check with the owner of London Bridge Toys they may have one in the back that isnt listed on the website, JRSteel lives near this store so he may be able to check on this for you.

Hope this helps

Dave

Shannon, I stoped in London Bridge. No luck. That set is listed on The Old Toy Soldier Home website. You might want to try them.
