I have a friend who is retiring from the USN, E-8.

I'm hoping to find a color guard, 4 person if possible.

Lots of USArmy & USMC, no USN. I imagine it's the law of supply & demand - no demand so no supply.

Feel free to reply here or send a PM.

Welcome to the forum, Mark!

Since you posted in the Casting section, are you looking for molds to cast the figures yourself, or are you looking for completed figures? Are you looking for contemporary USN, or historical?

Martiin Ritchie had color guards from all branches of our armed forces in his catalog, including both contemporary and historical. I don't know if he's still in business, though. He's retired from the show circuit for many years now. He was never online, either, but did business through mail order. If I can find his address, I'll post it back here. If you search the forum, though, you'll find other threads where Ritchie was mentioned.

Here is a link to a current auction for a pair of USN flagbearers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/251523841549?lpid=82

If you are looking for molds, I don't know of anyone who makes molds to cast any American armed service, let alone the Navy. But Prins August makes toy soldier mold sets that produce figures that can be converted to depict most services, whether American or otherwise.

Hope that helps, prosit!

I don't know what my problem was on key word searches, but those flag bearers never came up in my eBay searches. Hmmm.

Anyhow, given the lack of availability I posted in castings because I figured it might generate a bit better attention in the way of replies (& I haven't fully found out where might have been a better location on this site).

@ This point, I would go with any era USN, however the Enlisted in Crackerjack Blues or equivalent whites is kind of preferred. A backup plan is something from the Revolutionary War & the final idea is the USS Constitution or a Fife & Drum corp (like the typical image that brings to mind).

I've looked @ the USS Constitution's online gift shop store & they don't have any ships other than kits. I may end up going with a larger Bradford Exchange figurine & possibly a presentatoin case / flag holder made of reclaimed wood from the Constitution.

For full disclosure, my wife and I own the www.militarystatue.com site (heck, we own this whole forum for that matter {sm4})!
