I think Jenkins is going to fill my British ranks a little faster than I anticipated.

Wow! I might need to unretire to keep up with a the upcoming John Jenkins sets. NOT!!!!! However, I'm not going to miss out and then have to chase around for a set to complete a series. If you haven't seen the updated Jenkins web site you need to do so. Best regards to all.
Steve

I would like to see some Frasier's Highlanders add to this series at some point. Seeing as they lined up next to the 47th it would make sense (at least to me).:)

All,

I have new photo of John's new sets as follows:

QB-01 - General Wolf on foot (1 Figure Set)

QB-03 - British Officer with Kings Colour Flag 47th Foot (1 Figure Set)

QB-04 - British Officer with Regimental Flag 47th Foot (1 Figure Set)

QB-05 - British Officer & Drummer 47th Foot (2 Figure Set)

QB-06 - 47th Foot Advancing (3 Figure Set)

QB-07 - Grenadiers Advancing (3 Figure Set)

I have asked Jazzeum (Brad) to post them as I can not get them to attach to the thread. They should be up shortly do not panic.

These figures all look to be to the same poor standard that John put out.:D

Start saving with these new ones from John and all the new releases from K&C I am taking out a third mortgage or is it a fourth mortgage.

Aussie Monty:)

Here are the photos.

The great thing about the Jenkins figures is that they combine some of the old school charm of toy soldiers with the new demand for realism. Much like KC figures, I also think they look better when displayed in groups. The new Wolfe figure seems like a strange choice given the "Death of Wolfe" set. A bit hard to combine the two in any display, but what the hell I'm buying them all.

Oh me, oh my. I am sooooo pleased with these new figures. When I look at those pictures I feel like a 10-year old who just opened the new Sears Christmas catalog.

After the set "The Death of General Wolf" it is a bit strange to come out with the life one too. I will be going for some different smaller groups/displays, not a single large one as I want to do with the Braddock series. So, they all will find a good use.
I think, Combat is right. These Jenkins figure do have their very own individual style and classic Toy Soldier Charme combined with the rather modern realistic style of painting is a very good description.
Another thing about the JJ figures. All the sets I have received so far and that were all that have been released do look better then on any photo.
Happy Collecting!
Konrad

Remember for the UK all these new releases as well as Aprils and some older codes are available from us at TMTerrain:
www.tmterrain.com

The full listing for May with photos should be on the site tomorrow (Friday) but you can email us with any requirments if you can't wait. We have about a week to place an order with John to make sure we get them for the May release date.

How about a battaion of them- one box of each of the officers, 2 boxes of the Grenadiers and then 4 to 6 boxes of Line. I think when they arrive I will set up some 'battalion' photos on some of our terrain and see how they come out.

Combat,

To my knowledge the new QB figures were sent out to dealers early this week, so they should all have them early next week for sale. My sets from John should be here Monday.

Aussie Monty :)

Let us know how they look. I plan pick up some next week at the Valley Forge show.
