I also started on this piece.

Painted the face. The costume was overpainted with titanium white. A blue sash was added.

I like the way his face came out, Vic. The shades are very good.

Hi Brad,

thanks for your kind comments. I worked more on the face, repainted the eyes etc. I also added more shadows to the costume and am starting to finalise the painting on this piece.

I've discovered the macrozoom on my point and shoot camera which allows clearer close ups. but with distortions at the periphery. But because I persist in taking in-progress shots in less than ideal lighting situations, the flash tends to wash out all subtle shading in the closeups. Ah well, wait for the final shots.

I mounted the figure onto a nice base for final painting and handling. I added more shading and highlights to the white costume. Then the final details were added.
