I wish I had the rrom to put that E boat in my collection. I was hoping, now that Figarti is doing Kriegsmarine, that they might consider doing a U-boat conning tower in the new 1/30 scale. A conning tower would be fantastic and take up far less space.

Why not consider the Bismarck gun, Jim. Smaller and cheaper:)

Might make a nice series if they continue it. We'll have to lobby Clive. At 6 foot 5, I'm sure he can convince Rick :)

I've committed to buy one of the e-boats from Rick if he personally delivers it to me at the Symposium in March. If he makes a U-Boat conning tower in 1:30, I would have to buy it, buy the 1:30 deck gun, and start a whole Kriegsmarine display.

Doing a Kreigsmarine line would be the way to go. While the E Boat is nice, it is big and if I'm going to buy something big and expensive, I'd prefer a War Bird.

I have loved the boat since we saw it in Chicago. I have one on order. It truly would be a super display piece. Unusual and eye catching.I thank Rick for having stones to make one. We were "shocked and awed".

Hi Guys
Clive here, apologies I've been recovering from the London Show and my first time behind the counter.(Sore feet)
It was great to see so many friends from here including H.M. Shannon.
Re the Eboat,as I have explained to my wife, it would fit perfectly on the window sill if she would just get rid of all those China ornaments!!
It's a lovely piece and I agree a theme around the Kriegsmarine is a good and novel idea.
Keep the ideas coming I'll be lobbying hard on our behalf!!

By the way Brad I only use my size to look after the likes of Louis when he's under attack , purely defensive you know.
Regards

Yes, funny story, he needs all the help he can get:D

I love the E-boat as well and am trying to figure a way of getting one, from a personel stand point I would have prefered a waterline version, it might also cut the expense somewhat?

Agreed Brad. I bought the Bismark gun at the show in Hackensack. A conning tower would be bigger, but it would make a fantastic naval diorama, especially now that Andy is coming out with Doenitz and other Kriegsmarine figures in 2008.

If anyone goes all out and buys the E-boat, keep in mind that the Russians made a couple of nice Doenitz figures:

One possibility. I think this was done by Andrea Miniatures.

I asked Rick about a U Boat tower or deck gun and he answered that it wasn't in the plans of Figarti to do them.

My first venture into the Figarti thread - **** E boat - it is rather good!:D

I have some 1/30 landing craft from Mike at KCUK, I too would like some waterline small boats including a British MTB to match - but I have to say if I can figure out where to put it.................
