Hi Guys,

In answer to NP’s recent questions over on the Figarti thread...

1) LRDG Chevy Truck Crews?

Most of the photos I’ve seen show 3-man crews. Now, of course, they may have had 4 occasionally or even 2 sometimes. But 3 seems to be the norm.

2) SAS Jeep Crews?

All the photos of SAS jeeps I’ve seen show just 2 personnel. The only ones with 3 man crews were the ones in the “RAT PATROL”...but I don’t think that counts!

3) SAS/LRDG Together?

Although both units were independent the new OSPREY book (see photo) says they did work together on occasion.

4) Figarti SAS Jeep and K&C SAS Jeep together photo?

Sorry, no can do I only have our own jeeps. I don’t think Rick has any of ours either...

5) Here is a couple of pix of the box designs for our upcoming LRDG and SAS sets. Hope you like them.

All the best and...happy collecting!

Andy C.

I like the idea of individual boxes for each range. It kind of adds that little extra touch.

Love the look of LRDG these boxes.I agree with James, different boxes for different ranges make them even more collectable. The boxes for the recent crimean range are top notch too.

I still think the Egyptian line boxes look the best- the antique mapping overlay makes you feel like you are an egyptologist busting into some new and exciting relic from the Middle Kingdom.:D:D

I am happy to announce I went ahead and took the plunge!!! I think it was Wednesday I placed an order for the AK Stug and EA21- Absolutely had to get that trooper!!! Mostly got the Stug to go with my Rommel WS figure but now I find myself looking more and more at this line and wondering "Well, I could probably get that too..."

Andy makes this sort of thing wicked hard for those of us out here who have ZERO self control like myself- he's like a "pusher" or something:D:D

Funny thing, my birthday is Sept. 1 so I placed the order and then have told family, friends and relatives to give the vendor a call and payoff my KC TAB!!!

That Osprey cover shot is a very famous one- I have seen it several times and when I first saw EA21, I thought of that guy sitting in that jeep. I will probably grab Major Stirling to go with him.

Now why did you have to describe the Egyptian boxes Chris,i want them now!!!:D

That AK Stug is a nice looking vehicle, hope to pick that up at Xmas.

I agree 100% - I think the individual boxes is part of the overall magic that occurs when you buy a King and Country Set !

The detail work from Andy and K&C always impresses me - they seem to get better and better as we go along.

Bearded Brigands Trooper Frank Joplins life in the LRDG, can not rate it highly enough. His experiances and photos are great. If you are buying this range get the book. He covers the joint missions and their actions against the Italians and Vichy French the lot !

:) Would like to have Major Stirling in Desert Garb Planning and Map Reading with another Officer and also, haveing another RECCE Jeep "ATTACKING"Mode? Of Coarse a Bedford Truck Convoy, with Desert Rat Troops sitting in Bedford Trucks Mobile!

Andy:

Thanks for the info. Great looking boxes...WOW! I just pre-ordered 4 Chevy's (2 plain & 2 camo) and 3 SAS Jeeps. Looking forward to the release of the Austin ambulance and a Bedford lorry, EA version. It will make a great addition to the EA series
