These cool too, there are two models with different sets of crewmen. They are FM30 (1/30 scale). Again, the lighting was terrible but I had to post these anyway.

There are so many necessities theses sets have including moveable parts, real rubber tires with the exact tire treads found on the originals. These sets are heavily weathered with model quality IMO.

Carlos:
Thanks for the pictures. Would you know how much it will retail for? Has anyone at the show took pictures of the KC LRDG Truck side by side with the FM30 version?

I believe they will be retailing for $139 but I'm unsure. When Shannon gets back from Chicago she'll the prices.

I don't think anyone has taken pictires of KC's and FM's LRDG vehicles sid-by-side yet.

Carlos

In addition to the real rubber tires, the figures are removable (though the steering wheel stays in the hands of the driver) and there are separate supplies like boxes, duffels, etc. that a collector can place themselves.:)

Thanks Carlos and Steven
Any pics of the E Boat and B 17. When will these be in the shops?
Regards

Dear Damian,
Carlos posted pictures of the E-boat and B-17 in separate threads in the Figarti catagory. I was told both the B-17 and E-boat are in production. Because of the relatively high price, dealers will take orders and Figarti will then make and directly ship the models to the collector. For the B-17 at $899, Figarti will customize it to whatever specific plane you want for an additional $200 to $250, but you have to provide the research (plane number, nose art, camouflage, etc.):)

Interesting we've now come full circle and returned to how the glossy cottage industry worked: on a preorder basis.

This way of business operations is something I'd like to see spread to the rest of the industry - imagine the option to have the manufacturer customize individual toy soldiers (different paint jobs and weaponry) and tanks (I think New Model Army is already considering the latter). And manufacturers would no longer need to worry as much about a particular line selling poorly because they would only make enough to satisfy actual demand.

CS,
I completely agree. Wouldn't it be fantastic if we could specify our exact requirements? Won't happen in the real world - but we can always dream, can't we?

PS. Someone posted a link to a really great "Tommy Atkins" site. Please try it.....looks awesome IMO.
Cheers

The LRDGs are $139. I remember the price. Notice in one of them the wind effect in the head gear of the driver and the machine gunner.

Hi Harry,

Actually I already have Tommy Atkin's/Fusilier's site bookmarked (they're owned by the same company now). Also check out Tommy Atkin's alternative site which has some of their earlier figures: http://www.tommyatkins.com. It says they will paint the shoulder flashes on the figures per your specifications. I think I prefer Fusilier's style of figures but the Tommy Atkins line has some very unique pieces.

It's also interesting that you mention Atkins/Fusilier in this dicussion about customizing because I recently had their one and only samurai figure nicely custom painted by them for only £13.50 including shipping. It would be great to see that kind of customizing offered by every manufactuer - for example in K&C's Crusader range you could have custom heraldry done.

Thanks for posting the photos Carlos ,
does anyone know if these trucks are a limited release or an
open ended production run .
cheers Rob

It wasn't specifically mentioned, but I believe that every Figarti piece is being done as a limited release.

Anyone know if the LRDGs will be offered in 1/32???

Hi KX1

The LRDG will be offered in the 1/32 scale as well. We brought an unpainted prototype to Chicago to show. The 1/32 scale is planned for a January release.

I must say i can't believe how many quality products i've seen from Figarti in the last week.Apart from the eboat thats a little bit to expensive for me,i love the V weapons,LRDG Trucks,155mm gun.Its all wonderful stuff and i can't wait to get my first Figarti item.

And all in 1/30 scale! During his talk, Andy mentioned he would do the M5 High Speed Tractor for the BOB line but not any of the cannons (at least at this time;)), so the Figarti 155mm gun and the K&C M5 will complement each other very well.:D
