I was able to pick up the long-retired models of LTs Melville and Coghill over the holidays... Absolutely superb detail, the attention to historical accuracy never ceases to amaze me. Pardon the poor quality photo!

Good pick up. These go back at least 5 years, so they must be starting to be hard to find. Both are needed for any true Zulu collector. Robin.

You inspired me to join in.^&grin, Robin.

Those look great! If anyone has a lead in where I can get them, let me know!

Great adds to any Zulu war collection. I always hated that britains did named personalities as exclusives especially as modelzone was horrific with non UK buyers in terms of both service and price. I think only 1 store in the chain would ship internationally. I think the 3rd one in the series was a cry for help which I found undersized to scale.955353864_tp.jpg

It's a shame, as I think some of the Modelzone pieces were Britains all time best Zulu figures...

As a sidenote, I recently read an account from an NNC Lieutenant who stated he found the bodies of 2 unfortunate IMI Soldiers next to LTs Melvill and Coghill. Would be great if Britains finally releases some IMI!

Hi All,

I purchased "A Cry for help" from Modelzone, via mail order and found that, both it, and its replacement were broken on receipt. I eventually drove into London to collect one fro the Holborn branch. In both cases the Zulu standing on one leg was broken. I have since seen similarly damaged pieces offered on Ebay. As it was originally a limited edition of only 300, I expect that it is quite a genuinely rare item now.

Its a great "stand alone" piece as are both the Melville and Coghill.

I would be interested in seeing some IMI pieces and !7th Lancers and Royal Dragoon Guards, but not necessarily on picket duty like the NMP offerings of a while back. Nice to have some action figures.

Regards to All,

Smendy
