Anyone who has the M16 Quad 50 Half Track (DD35) and the new M21 Mortar Carrier Haf Track may have notice the slight difference in size. You would think they came from the same casting or mould but putting them side by side, the new M21 is slightly taller and wider. Shouldn't they be the same since they are from the same M3 base as in the real ones? A liitle bit disappointed here since I am doing a diorama showing these vehicles in a march position. Still a great piece though.

Yes, the real vehicles were both based on the M3 halftrack APC. My guess is that Andy had a different scuplor assigned to the M21 than he did the M16. Even in "scale" models the different mold cutters get things wrong, so I'm not surprised that there's a difference.

Put a 2 1/2 ton truck between them to visually seperate them - that way the eye can be fooled. Or put one near the viewer and the other back a ways. Or use them seperately - they wouldn't be in the same unit (although they could likely be on the same road together).

I also noticed a size and construction difference with the old German 37mm anti tank gun and the new one from the Berlin series.
