M3 Grant Tank (1 Viewer)

I just bought a FOV M3 Grant tank in Desert Colors. My question is about the outlines around all the tools and hatches. Is FOV trying to show shadowing around the hatches or are the outlines representing gaskets of some type. The picture on the FOV website does not seem to show the outlines. My inquiring mind needs to know before I paint over the lines.
