Hi,
So this past week I have been in France. I went to Invalides and the Musee L'Emperi, both of which have unearthly collections. At Invlaides I witnessed a big ceremony of the Guard Republican, with the president! I also purchased that coveted book, 'Treasures of le Musee L'Emperi' or however you call it^&confuse. I started this thread to show people the very numerous (non-flash, very safe for the items) pictures I took of uniforms and equipment, flags, etc... for the specific purpose of this forum. I will post 20 select ones tomorrow, and if there is any particular regiment, or type of whatever, just tell me, as I probably have a picture. To tired now, but more to come!%^V

Sandor,

AND you saw the Republican Guard too.... lucky man !!!

Yes show as many images as you can, and maybe I can also help and show some of mine, but I'll wait and see what you put up, as I'd hate to duplicate. Besides I need to do some PhotoShop work on mine, due to the lighting and need some cropping and rotating.

Looking forward to the coming weeks,:smile2:

I was at Invalids, and a couple of buses pull up, and a giant band + 20-60 men get out, form up, and a couple of generals do a review. It was "totally awesome"!:salute::

Sorry to be two months late with my promises, but here are a few photos{bravo}}:

Yep, they were at Emerpi! A ton of flats, and a bunch of unusual mignot. But the display is very small:(
