When thinking about the First World War, most people think of the more iconic fronts of the war. The mud and trenches of the Western front mostly, but some also have a clear image of the Eastern Front, T.E. Lawrence in the Middle East, and the Gallipoli Campaign. Far fewer people, however are aware of the Macedonian Front which spanned along the Greek border.

Here's a quick display we did at work today depicting the waiting game, that was the Salonica Front of WW1.
Do mind the use of various companies, however I really wanted to highlight the DH-2 John created, hence why I posted it here!

Nice scene from one of WW1 more obscure theatres. Love it.

Thank you!

I have been fascinated by this theater since being introduced to it by the youtube series "The Great War." The sheer amount of men who had died simply because of Malaria was absolutely insane. Also unique to the theater was the extended time periods of inaction. Just such an interesting story. I would love for John to do some Bulgarian troops or any of the five nation army troops along the Salonica Front. Sure would be a doozy!

Thanks again,
Robo!

Thanks John!

Yeah I tried to capture the waiting side to the front as much as possible, hope it reflects well.
