The phone has been ringing off the hook with eager collectors attempting to pump any hapless CS employee for info on our next releases, so to stave off an armed insurrection I thought it would be good to put some intel out there. But first off I want to thank everyone for their incredible support in helping to grow the Collectors Showcase these last four years. Many of you may have already heard that we’ve moved into a brand new 3000 square foot prototyping and warehouse facility in downtown Austin. It was quite a move and affords us the necessary space we require for what seems like pretty fast growth ( too fast sometimes).

CS6 a great success: AB43, Zulu and the 95th rifles should be showing up at dealers and customer homes right about now. We sold 50% of the inventory upon receipt, an absolute first for us. It’s great to see the demand growing. Certainly it looks like our numbers will move into the 400 range from now on. I’ll keep you posted on that. The products are the best yet and we think you’re gonna love them.

Napoleonic:

The Napoleonic period has caught us completely by surprise in so far as the popularity, it’s been amazing: truly our best selling line so far! So I’m pleased to announce our next release date set for July. Those products will be announced next month.

Among other announcements in this category are our brand new Connoisseur Napoleonic sets. We hope to build on our current success with Napoleonic’s: They will be re-branded started next release as Collectors Showcase ‘Diorama Connoisseur” figures. While no one has doubted that we really have created the best sculpts with the most animation, we’ve also been working terribly hard with the factory to optimize paint strokes, dry brushing and washes. We’ve created unbelievable paint effects on our ensuing Napoleonic releases. You’ll see a lot of this on the 95th Rifles, but the full final effect is incorporated in the next release. We found that with a little pushing at the factory and some major paint prototype samples we could achieve near Petersburg quality with virtually no change in pricing.

WWII:

Armor:

We hear it over and over again from our customers and dealers alike, and it’s truly music to the ears: we have the best vehicles in the industry. Well guess what?, they’re getting a whole lot better we’ll continue to move the products into the realm of realism with: rust, dry brush, paint chipping and wear. And at the same time keep prices stable and affordable. Look for four vehicle releases this year ( one of course just shipped, the AB43 ). You thought the details on the AB43 were good? the next release vehicle ( in July ) will have accessories and features never before seen in the industry and dare I say, will be: revolutionary. Keep a sharp eye on TSSD and the forum in the next few weeks for major announcements that you won’t want to miss.

WWII Figure Sets:

The WWII figure has yet to be truly explored. After much thought and deliberation I think we’ve come up with an approach to figure sets that will turn current collections on their head. While the industry has been inundated with WWII figures to date I think we’ve got an approach that ought to fire up and inspire collectors to get out the static grass! Stay tuned.

Zulu War:

As promised our first sets focus on Islawana. Expect some major re-enforcements for Durnford’s hapless command in a few short months. The possibilities are endless for threatened Imperial troops and attacking (or fleeing) Zulus! We’ve been really delighted with our first sets reception. We understand that they’ve been sellouts at the local shows and we like that.

American Civil War:

Well after a short rest, and selling out of the 14th Brooklyn and now Berdan’s Sharpshooters ( Wheats at 25 sets fellas, get’em while you can ) we’re on the march again. We’ve added a cavalry set for July and, the mother of all Zouve’s sets are out in September. Clues: Blue, Yellow and red. The winner gets that Zulu wife and assorted offspring I spoke about earlier. The Zouves will usher in a pretty robust period of ACW sets as our schedule is mightily fleshed out indeed.

New Period:

Yes, if you can believe it there is another genre to be added. We’ve had loads of customers asking for Afrika Korps, Egyptians, Ancients, English Civil War, Rev War, Eastern Front WWII: and we’re doing it! But one at a time please.

Thanks for all the fun and support, and welcome to all of our new dealers ( we’ve added six just in CS6 alone ).
Happy Collecting,

Brian

You announced last year that you were planning to do aircraft. Can you give us an update on that. Thanks.

That's a lot of good news for one post! Congratulations on your success Brian.

Can't wait to see the next Zouves and WWII armor.

Hello, I have three soldiers ACW union cavalry. In July, the union cavalry will be mounted or dismounted?. Regards.

Regaring the Zouaves, I'm guessing the 114th PA...............

Sorry, not in Spain to find your business. Wait to see it ACW union cavalry on this website (upcoming releases)

Yup what happened here - I can hear "the plane, the plane Boss" but just cannot see any - where did them planes get to?

We had the plane, we had the micro servos working. We loaded it with truppen: to the gills.

We brought that bird on to the apron and powered her up, and as she started to lift off something went horribly wrong: We tried to get her nose up, god knows we tried. But she was just too heavy.

There's a tree line not far from the runway in my backyard. We let her stay there in peace as a sort of memorial to the Herculian efforts that all made to lift her off. The micro servo's rest where they gave out, the crew never bailed out and now rest in cute little 60mm pine boxes we made for them.

Rest in peace yee valiant crew!

So goes the tale of our mighty plane:)

warm regards,

Brian

Thats why I could hear them but not see them then! You have a runway in your back yard? Jeez you must have a big back yard - all I can fit in mine is a kennel for Rover my faihful Staffy and a watering can for my roses!

September is a long ways off for all us middle-aged 8 year olds. I'm hoping for Union figures as my collection is Confederate heavy. Either way, Zouve's always look cool .

Brian, do you suppose in the future the flags will be flat? I don't mean without a wave to them, I mean not having the images like the stars raised?

 Brian keep up the Great Production; but don't forget, N.Africa! ITALIANS,AUSSIE'S,BRITISH,GERMANS, and FRENCH! I could hear the sound of the" M-13/40, and Semovente 40" in the 'Wind'! NEXT!
