:) OK Guys, lets Bid on Who is going to MAKE the Best Looking 3-Vehicle's! Is it Andy, or CS,? Just Traded for a Figarti M-3 Grant Tank, and Hatches Broken, Sideskirts wasn't Glued well, and it was Smaller than Andy's M-3 Lee Tank, DD-24! According to the Picture's on N.Africa, WW2 the Grant Tank was Larger than the Sherman N4A3 Tank in N.Africa! The Height up to the Cupola Turret should be 4 -3/4 "'---Width 4''---Length -8 -1/2to -9"! Also, have ALL sorts of Gear Hanging and Attached to the Side-Skirts! My Personal Opinion, is that Figarti has to start Scrutinizing the Production, their Vehicle's which are Small and their Earlier Figure's also! Hopefully the NEW Release Figure's will be MUCH Beefier and 2-3/4 Inches Tall!

John,

The Grant in 1/30 should be approx 7 1/2" in length, 3 1/2" wide and 4" in height.

I have both Figarti's Grant and Lee tanks. I have checked the dimensions and find they are both an accurate 1/30 scale. I believe the problem is that you are asssuming DD24 is 1/30 scale. As can be seen in a comparison of the early Tiger tanks (WS15 or WS43) with the current Desert Tiger Tank (AK039SL), a lot of the early K&C vehicles were not 1/30 scale. At the time, few, if any, of the collectors cared.

In my opinion, the Figarti tanks are 1/30 scale, but they would look small when compared to the 1/25 vehicles you have mentioned are complementary to K&C figures.:)

This tank is 1/30 scale. I remember this question came up in Chicago last year and Rick measured it and compared it to a K & C tank and it was 1/30 so you're wrong John.

:) I have 2-DD24 K&C Tanks, and Measured it Height, Width, and Length! And Figarti's Tank is Smaller M-3! OK, I know my Toys! Collecting and Building Models for 30-Years! Check with Andy, about his DD-24! CIAO!

Well, I have been building and collecting models for over 40 years ... so I guess that means I have more experience. I am not disagreeing that Figarti's Lee tank is smaller then DD24 ... what I am saying is that K&C's DD24, which is an early K&C vehicle, is not 1/30 scale. Wraith's dimensions for a 1/30 scale Lee is fairly accurate. If your measurements of 8 1/2 to 9" for length, 4" for width and 4 3/4" for height is a measurement of the DD24, then the DD24 is larger than 1/30 scale. As I said earlier, not all K&C WWII vehicles or figures are an accurate 1/30 scale.:)

Don't think you do. I put it against the DD 24 and it seemed the same.

Guys,
I really hate to get involved in all this but guess what, yours truly actually visited the Imperial War Museum to see the restored Monty M3 Grant and took umpteen photos , just about counted every rivet and Yes, even measurements.
These were passed to the guys at Figarti and I can tell you it's as close as you're gonna get to 1/30 scale.
But hey whoever said size matters!!
Regards
Clive

Clive,

We've devoted too much time to this non-issue already. Just let it slide.
