For something different and very interesting, look at "Making Patton" by Nicholas Sarantakes. This is an in depth look at the politics, actors, screenwriters, directors, and producers involved in the 18 year period it took to make this movie. The Patton family strongly opposed the movie and was successful for a time in blocking it. John Wayne, Burt Lancaster, Charlton Heston, and others turned down the leading role before it was offered to George C. Scott. Patton was dyslexic and had a difficult time in his studies at West Point. Tommy

Aside from the bits of artistic licence here and there, an outstanding film. Interesting was that Scott had little regard for the person of Gen. Patton, yet did a fantastic job at the part. One of my favorite films.
