Wow, those are very nice. Is it possible that some of the sets are not Askaris, but from the Italian Colonial Army?

Fernando has one set listed as Italian Asakaris, and another as Muntaz.

I'll admit - I'm no WWI scholar.

I had always assumed that Askaris were natives in the Imperial German African army, but I just looked it up and it is an Arab word for native troops in colonial service. I have never heard of Muntaz.
