May be this is only a personal require. Nevertheless I wish to sharing it with you.
I love all the marching sets and among the early released items the FIW BM-04 and 05 from Monongahela and QF-05 and 06 from Quebec the first.
Unlike the last QF-25 and TIC-20 I think the box with three marching soldiers much better than one with only two men. With firing and advancing double figures I satisfy my will to set up mass scenes collecting more of the same set. Also I am quite sure to expect a second or third set of quite similar poses. The same we can’t expect for the marching soldiers, usually one box is enough! For this reason I prefer a three figures set.
With my BM’s marching Line and Grenadiers soldiers, due to their different heads and arms poses, I set up a large and varied column, the same I do with QF’s sets. The same I can’t do with the new (awesome) Languedoc Infantry or TIC Grenadiers, unless John plans a second marching set.
To conclude I believe the third figure makes the difference! …or not?
