Hi All,

I bought this OOP La Fortezza kit of the Roman Emperor. The castings look good but needs some minor conversion.

I made the following conversions - I think that the head is too big and the head pate was lowered by about 2 mm and I resculpted the hair. The legs were cut off and the lower part of the skirt was drilled and gouged out to create an overhang.

The legs were thickened and eventually reinserted back into the underside. The figure was undercoated and base painted.

Competed the figure of Marcus Aurelius but I still am trying to finish the base.

You've done an excellent job on your Marcus Aurelius figure Victor. Well done :salute::

Hello Steve,

Thanks for your comment! Appreciated. I'm just a busy bee, especially now and am doing up as many figures as I can.

Added some groundwork. Marcuse Aurelius was always in the field fighting battles and campaigns. Probably also doing building works and giving speeches in between.

Nice one Vic. Yes MA was quite the Emperor having to deal with sharing the Plague and rampaging Germans .

Vic
That's a really nice looking figure you've ended up with after your re-sculpting and painting. :salute::

Hi Steve,

Thanks again for your very encouraging remarks. I'm trying to stay stoic...

Hi poppo and paddy,

thx for yr kind comments. Stoicism sounds like a hard act to follow….

I admire your philosophical stance to life, Poppo.
But I like your scratch-built dioramas even more!
