I was just wondering if anyone has received the Mark V Male Tank J17 and your thoughts on this model.

I noticed on the Treefrog site in the product description it says, "There is no commander figure planned for this vehicle." This would be a shame not to have a representation of Lt. Hawkins to stand beside J17.

I have attached two pictures of tank crews that would look really good next to the Mark V:

I have also attached some pictures of tank crews wearing the early leather tanker's helmet. I know these helmets were only around for a short time in 1916, but if John Jenkins has a Mark I or Mark II planned for future release, would make a great diorama.

Here's hoping!

Saw it in my TS shop. It was behind glass and I did not pick it up (I find if I touch something I end up buying it!).

It looked very impressive.

Mark,
Do yourself a favour and get one, helped Brett remove one from it's box the other day, the best WW1 Tank model I have ever seen...just superb :salute::. First thing I am buying next visit.
It also comes with a little instruction sheet on how to take it out of the box the right way...how cool is that. :wink2:
Wayne.

Interesting about there being no commander figure planned. I would like to see one for every tank/vehicle, as I think they rather add to displaying the models, as do the WW1 aircraft 'ace' pilots.

Yeah, I had the same trouble in St Lucia:wink2:................I'm talking about their coconuts:salute::

English humour - its great but always sounds like a rerun of 'Are you being served'?{sm4}

Received my Mark V last week and I must say it's one of the best model First World War tanks I have seen. JJ has done a really excellent job on this one.

The machine guns move around like the ones on the Whippet tank. The 6 pdr guns move side to side, but they also move up and down, a really nice touch.

It would be great on future releases to have sponson doors that would open, so that you could have a crew member climbing in or out.

Really recommend this model to all World War One tank buffs.

Mark
