I knew that would catch your eye! :p

FIRST ... that B-list movie "Mars Needs Women" (1967) can be seen on YouTube.
I love those old Sci-Fi flicks. They are so bad they are good.

<><><><><><><><>

I was hoping for a new release of RSF series Indian women for my village diorama this month. Although the new Indian / canoe is fantastic.

The females are making a poor showing. If you count the current released (RSF) sets, there are 33 male figures compared to only 3 {sm2} females in the village . That works out to only about 8.3% of the village sets are females .... (When you add in the RR Indians the ratio is worse.)
The village isn't going to last long given those numbers.

There are 100's of actions that these gals can be doing .... cooking, cleaning fish / game, etc.; building huts and shelters , making / washing cloths and blankets; weaving; tending to the children; working in the fields; making campfires; making bows / arrows; gossiping  ... some much more.

So John, will be seeing any more of the ladies in a near release? PLEASE!

Larry...

you know how girls are...

they all left the village for the bright lights of Hollywood...^&grin

I agree, although I do not think it's easy to find the right documents from which get figures historically accurate. Robert Griffing portrayed them so.

Excellent point Larry and good observation. Count me in with you on wanting more female Indians for the camps. The ones shown in the Griffing paintings would serve as nice starting points.

Ya' maybe that is true but start with the ... movie(s) ... {eek3} ... "Last of the Mohegans" or the "Song of Hiawatha" and go from there!!!
John couldn't be that far off.

Besides, I am not a stickler on absolute accuracy anyway so Eagle feathers or Hawk feathers would not make a difference to me!

Just sayin'

Hey Mark.
YES ... exactly, another point of reference to launch from.
I do have books that show some sketches and drawings ... but as far as the accuracy ..^&confuse.

Evening Randy ... I do have the RSF sets "The Hunters" and "The Gathers", if that is what you are referencing ... so thank you!!

Actually I have two each of those JJD sets, but that still leaves a lot of possibilities that John can address. I do have the two "Blackhawk" Indian woman sets(one old woman and one nursing a small baby) that go sorta' okay with JJD, if I place them just right, but I would rather not have (sorta' ok)

Thanks for the response.
