Here are a couple of conversions I did out of greenstuff. It felt wrong to have a French Army of the Napoleonic Wars without some of the most famous characters from the period to command it. So, I have attempted to come up with Marshals Ney and Murat. I started with CTS horses and 2 of the 9 Timpo Napoleon figures I have.
For Ney, I cut off the trench coattails and cut off the cap. Then, I created a new hat, tilted a little to the side to match all the paintings and created a Marshal's sash. I also used a little greenstuff to create part of his jacket to make it look like he had unbuttoned it in the heat of combat. Then, I made a couple of medals. The horse is from CTS. So here he is, Le Rougeaud.
Murat is only my second figure that I have made with green stuff, Ney being the first, but I am very pleased with the result. I trimmed the greatcoat and the hat down. I created a couple of braids across his chest and made a hussar's hat. I also boiled him to move his arm forward to "charge" position. I painted him up but wasn't quite satisfied so I decided to add a hussar jacket to drape over his shoulder. Then I added a scabbard, made from a Timpo Grenadier officer sword that had broken off, and a sabretache. I took a CTS horse and added a tiger skin. Here is the result. Thanks for reading! I would love to see any other conversions that y'all have come up with! So post away!

Great job!^&cool Nice to see another figure converter join the forum. I also like converting Napoleonics and have posted a lot of my work here on the forum, just search threads started by me and you,ll find my stuff. I also work with 2 part putty in my conversion work and I have even tried a few scratch builds also.
Welcome to the forum! Great work, keep it coming!!!^&cool

Thanks Fish! Yea I have seen a lot of your stuff on hat blog and have drawn some inspiration from your work! What kinds of scratch build stuff have you done? My next conversion pieces are some Timpo Imperial Guard. I have about 10 officers and 15 useless grenade throwers and a bunch of extra Victrix arms so I am mixing and matching to see if I can come up with some extra poses. I'll post them when I get them painted up! If you want to see some of my other stuff, check out my blog at allmustmarch.BlogSpot.com. Thanks Fish! I'll be looking for your work on here

Here are a few links to some of my scratch built figures. I made a mold of a couple of them and cast them in plastic resin, the Cossack sculpt I made I used to convert the one figure into about 2 dozen different figures.

Fish,
Or if I have gathered correctly from reading all of your blogs, Tim? Well, I read EVERY SINGLE LINK you sent me over the last couple of hours and they all look great!!! I'm not quite to the level you are at, considering I've only done two figures with putty, but I will certainly try eventually! I'll make sure to get some pictures of my process up with the finished piece, although I've already started painting so it won't be from the beginning. Next time!
Here are a few I've done over the years. This is a simple conversion from a Grenade Thrower into a member of the eagle guard. toothpick pistol, kebab stick with putty halberd, paper flag.

Here is another simple one I did 5 or so years ago when I didn't know what the devil I was doing. Marx Frontiersman to French Sappeur. snipped musket butt off and glued an Indian tomahawk. Paper apron.

This one is CTS Mexican Artilleryman with a Hat Prussian Hand and a flag pole replacing the ramrod. I painted up the flag, although unfortunately, I might as well write with me feet my hand writing is so bad so painting doesn't improve it much haha. Went with the 18th Line, Les Braves!
