My wife and her two siblings recently inherited two samurai swords and two bayonets from the Japanese Imperial Army WW2.

To accompany the display of these items for her family members, she would like figures of infantrymen wielding rifles mounted with a bayonet and officers with samurai swords.

Can anyone recommend a matte manufacturer?

If possible, please include set numbers.

Thanks,
MikeNick

Your best bet might have been K & C but they stopped making Japanese figures several years ago. There is always eBay however.

Figarti also has a Wake Island line. You might want to take a look at them.

Other than that you are probably out of luck.

Figarti's Wake Island line is the only option, and a good one. Contact Matt Murphy at the Hobby Bunker.

Although this forum is more "metal oriented", you can also recommend painted plastics. The TSSD Japanese are fine figures and came be painted up very nicely. The figures all have swords or bayonets, however the officer's sword can use some work - easily done.

This would provide them several soldiers and the cost wouldn't be too bad, even with custom painting.
