Maundy Thursday leads to a Good Friday (1 Viewer)

Maundy Thursday and I took the day off work. I was over at the weekend country house, which due to a fire at our city centre apartment, has become our main residence over the last couple of weeks. It was supposed to be a quiet relaxed day but constant phone calls from tradesmen in the apartment, a full day of the gardners in at the house, antique furniture being delivered and making arrangements to attend a hot air balloon festival in our small town on Good Friday left little time to open the latest parcel of TG goodies sat in the study.

A gap appeared once the gardeners had left and before my wife arrived back from working in the capital. With pork and potatoes roasting in the oven and an early evening beer in hand the latest mixture of bits and bobs was opened, admired, photographed, re boxed and put into storage. A strange old hobby but a pleasant way to spend an early autumn evening as the sun slowly set.

The early morning hot air balloon festival went well with 20 or so of these beauties taking to the skies as dawn broke over our sacred valley. Then it was breakfast with friends and time to catalogue the latest editions before a country walk and perhaps a viewing of Brad Pitt in Fury snuggled up on the sofa.

Next week JJDs and First Legion figures are winging their way to these distant shores.

Gary

I hope TG expands this range. Very colourful and not covered by other manufactures.

Ah not a sick day but annual leave, But still a good day off.

Those TG figures look terrific Gary, especially the Byzantine ones.

I bought into the TG Byzantine figures as well. A nice departure from the regular stuff on my display shelves. The quality is excellent at a reasonable price! I have only seen Byzantine figures produced by Aeroart and at triple the price! {eek3}

Waiting to see what their Carthaginian War elephant will look like. If anything like the quality of their recent Celt War Chariot, it is a definite purchase! Hopefully, they will produce enough of them to satisfy demand.

Hello Gary, a great selection of scenes as usual. The one's that really captured my interest were the Roman fort and the Greek collection. The background and the foliage in the Spartan scenes accentuated how brilliant the figures are and will inspire me for when I do my own diorama. Regards Greg.

Thanks for your kind comments Greg.
