Hi all,

The London Toy soldier show took place in Camden as usual yesterday. Not as many sellers as the last show and numbers of visitors was down on the usual figures - probably due to the sunny weather and May is not a traditional time for a show. Got busy at times. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it as plenty of time to talk to the other sellers and explaining my diorama to those interested. Its supposed to be DAK unloading in Tripoli 1941.

The 4 buildings on the wharf are very similar to the original buildings as after years of searching I found a good photo of them taken by a passenger on a ship unloading during the period. All vehicles and figures mostly TGM and K&C and a couple of CS and Figarti and one Rhino. Wharf made by David Marshall at TM Terrain to his usual excellent standard.

Hopefully BigJon will reply here with the full story but he said he wont be videoing the whole show and posting on youtube as usual as his channel got taken down as some cretin complained his videos of toy tanks was a hate crime WTF!

Really like your display, that’s a show stopper. Particularly the boat, would have liked that in my collection. A bit sad that because of one person complaining, we all miss out on seeing a video on a toy show. What a world we live in these days. Robin.

Woke !

Thanks for those pictures, and for the news about the videos, I was wondering why I couldn't access the older ones.

I hope we can see more pics, it's something I really enjoy, seeing I'm halfway around the world from that show!

John
