I know we've talked about this before but may i put in a fresh request. We just got the 'spare' German Tank crew from Andy which are really good.I also understand US version is to follow. However with all the competitors making great vehicles now,i really think there is a market for some half body German/US crew. There are lots of Tanks made by other companies that i think would look so good with K&C crew.Winter/summer versions would i think be in demand.Just my tuppence worth:)

Rob

I'd like to see some 'spare' 1/2 or even 1/4 tankers, so we have the option of replacing casual poses with some more action based figures. A lot of the commanders are 3/4 figures which protrude significantly. Ideal for when they're off the front line, but likely to attract some serious sniper rounds in combat. A mix of these with full size figures would be ideal.

Looking forward to seeing the US tankers. :)

I agree Rob. I've put K&C figures in 21st Century vehicles. the scale is a little off, but they add such class, that you can overlook the difference. ;)

Rob,
Truly a brilliant idea, the possibilities are endless, winter crew allied and axis crews, summer allied and axis crews, etc, etc, you could mix and match and buy two or three of the same tank and have all different crews in each one.

Just brilliant really...............

Regards,
George

Thank you George thats very kind.As Jim said above K&C figures bring such class to other vehicles i'm sure they would sell well.I have placed Andy's figures on HB Winter Panther and they looked real good.As you said George you could mix and match crews to perfection.I am considering buying HB's Shermans, now with several different K&C Figures they would look superb. And as you said above the versions that could be produced are endless.Andy if your reading this what do you think?.

Dead on Simon!! I couldn't agree more. A lot of these crews have a look like "Ho Hum, the grunts are getting blasted again- think we should get into the mix??"

Great idea as always Rob!!

Thank you Chris.I wish my wife thought the idea of turning the garage into a bigger office was a good idea!;)

Hope Andy gets to see this thread because i think it would be very popular with Tank collectors across the board.

Rob,
The other great point you make is you can use the tankers with non K & C tanks, ie, Honour Bound, NMA, Frontline, FOV, 21st Century, etc.

I also think you can't get enough tank riders. There should be sets of winter and summer American and Russian as well as summer British. Also, as seen in Band of Brothers, US and German Airborne riders (I've seen that famous newsreel footage 10,000 times of the Tiger II loaded with German Airborne tank riders).....................

Don't forget the dead ones !! have them slouching . 1 hanging out the drivers hatch one slumped over the turet or the barrel Nice!!!!

Hey Warrior, thats just what i thought. The Quality of Honour Bounds Panthers and new Shermans is so good and would be even better with KC crew.

Do i sense a new campaign here?:D

Cheers

If there is, we've got you to thank for starting it mate............

Re: May I make a suggestion!

:) Hello Guys! My Suggerstion's, is if the Tank Rider's are Half Figures, we should ONLY Pay LESS? Also, as far as the Future Tank Rider's, I've been telling Andy, that he should come out with Fallschrimjaeger, DAK, British8th Army, Italian Tank Rider's! Also, Walking/Fighting Patrols, for ALL of the above, and WOUNDED ( Stretcher Teams)?

:D I wouldn't blame Andy if he had a little doll of my likeness and stuck pins in it every now and again:eek::D

John. I hear what your saying but i think i would be happy to pay the normal price because i would imagine (i'm guessing here off course)you might get say six half body figures in a set.Now we have discussed what version you could have in these sets, but as i am putting this to Andy as a suggestion(and i would like to emphasise suggestion i really don't want to appear to be nagging!)i thought i'd list the versions i think would be popular.

1.US Summer
2 US Winter
3 German Summer
4.German Winter
5.AK

I have left out EA for the moement as we have a shortage of their vehicles as of present. What do you think guys?.

That ought to cover it nicely for the mo.

Rob,
I like your list, just a couple of points. Andy has done Summer US already (and it's retired too, which is a bad idea, you should never retire tank riders as they sell like crazy) and has summer and winter Germans already. Not sure on DAK tank riders, I'd imagine those tanks would be bloody hot to ride on in the desert............;)

My preference would be;

1.)Winter US for the M10 and BBA 15
2.)German Fallschrimjagers for WS 72
3.)British summer for the Churchill (that would be one smart looking display)
4.)US Airborne (remember the scene from Band of Brothers with the Airborne riding on XXX Corps tanks approaching Neunen, terrific stuff)

Any thoughts?

Hey mate, all great suggestions.Would love some riders for the Churchill,as you say that would look cool.Any Fallschirmjagers are always welcome wherever!.I have seen some film of AK Tank riders driving in a huge sand/smoke cloud must have been awful and absolutely roasting.

I sometimes think Band of Brothers is a tv version of what Andy could produce!.Any tank riders in Winter overcoats would be really evocative and a most welcome edition.I really do hope Andy gets to see this thread i would be really interested in what he thought.Keep the ideas coming mate,

Rob

My personal opinion is this idea has been presented in a well thought out, lucid way which Andy can appreciate and hopefully relate to, unlike a list such as..........."Andy, please make more desert British, Indian and Australian MG, Mortar, artillery, anti tank, wounded, stretcher, command, attacking and defending sets, plus Italian M13/40's, Semo Vente's, more Blackshirts,Italian folgore division infantry, artillery, mortars, mgs, artillery, plus more attacking and defending infantry, plus another 4,000 sets of Africa Corps, etc, etc, etc; get my point? I am sure he tunes out those type of requests................................

How about this for a suggestion. Get some extra guys and job them up:eek:
Then reposition them to make new figures. Then you can repaint them.:D:D

Thank you warrior.I also think its important to differentiate between suggesting and Nagging.I would not want Andy to think i was nagging as this destroys the whole good will thing we have between Andy and this forum.I think its nice to be able to suggest something for him to possibly consider at some point if he thinks its a runner. Also i think it is good of him to even consider some of these suggestions as its his company and he must have hundreds of ideas of what he wants to do.Constantly demanding stuff never works,as Brad says 'you get more bee's with Honey than Vinegar'.
