First Legion is pleased to present the first of what will be many releases for our Mass Battle Napoleon's Europe series! Napoleon's Europe possibly more than other other range lends itself extremely well to Mass Battle treatment because of the nature of the shoulder to shoulder combat and the wonderful myriad of nationalities involved. We have started with the British 30th Cambridgeshire Regiment of Foot. Though we have displayed them below in the classic 2 rank British Line, where this release really sings is in square formation. With five different "kneeling at the ready" figures and 19 different figures in total, a wonderful large square can be formed and at prices far lower than our normal product offerings. Add to this that historically at Waterloo, the British 30th Regiment of Foot did indeed form square and it's truly the sweet spot of the Mass Battle range. We sincerely hope you enjoy the new series and look for expansions to the Napoleon's Europe Mass Battle series over the course of 2018 and beyondl!

As far as I know they are made from the same metal as the rest of the FL ranges, just the painting is not as elaborate but still looking great!!

They are pretty close to the painting as the 1st foot. as far as the pictures look. And I really love those. So if they are pretty close. Then I will get pretty heavy on these.

Hello All and particularly to Spartan 71,
I can see the similarities to the earlier First Legion figures, and I possibly understand what your thinking on, but there is some doubt. Are you thinking about converting the mass battle figures to look like the First Legion earlier figures of the 1st Foot Guards,The Grenadier Guards? Or to the 1st of Foot, The Royal Scots? If the former you may know you would have to change facings, light yellow to dark blue, buttons silver/white metal to gold/brass and add gold lace for the officers and SNCOs. The drummer's jacket would also need to be changed. If it is for the 1st of Foot, the senior line regiment, in the British Army, a similar conversion would be necessary but with less gold lace involved A good source for the uniform detail is:- http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/
As to the colours, especially for the Foot Guards, that becomes complicated and would best be served by someone who can post illustrations .
If you already know this apologies. I also post this message as I am aware that there can be confusion for some re the British regimental numbering system. Good Luck with the conversion if you go for it.

P.S. As a U.K. resident one just wonders what will be the price for the mass battle figures ,this side of the pond.

Outstanding miniatures! I had resisted the previous massed battle offerings, I could not resist these.

Thanks for all the info. I was aware of the difference. But not as much as you have mentioned. I was not planning to convert any of the 30th. That would be somewhat a dishonor to the 30th if I do. I have 12 of the original ones. I probably get a little more deeper with 30th foot. And as most know I love collecting Standard Bearers and build around them. So it will be a great collection to have...

I also love the Zulu range, but the Zulu Mass Battle ones. I really did not like. Maybe if is close to the standard of painting on these 30th foot. I might have...

I just got the standard bearers, compared it to the 1st foot that I have. The only difference I can see is that, the colors are a bit muted, but any gloss sealant might just do the trick. I myself do not mind it being in a matt finish. So dont miss out, they are very good!!

I finally got a chance today to unbox the figures from this range I had purchased earlier in the year. They are AMAZING!
Make up an outstanding display. These are wonderful miniatures.
Would love to see some of the poses painted as light infantry company figures.
Maybe also add a couple of shooting in kneeling and standing poses.
I'll keep my eye on future releases of this range for sure!

Oops...the shooting standing and kneeling poses are available, I just did not get them! :rolleyes2:
