As you all know I have not posted here in forever, so I'll update you all on me. I have lost my interest for toy soldiers, but continue to maintain my current collection. But my love of history still burns strongly. I am now a WWII Reenactor with a full Medic and Rifleman kit. I have grown a WWII collection where the material is 1/1 scale.

Here are two pictures from the latest reenactment I was at:

I'm the short guy to the left :D and the tall guy is my friend.

I have gathered many things from this forum, made a photobucket account, and learned how to use a forum since it was my first one. I will still check in every so often, but won't as much as I used to.

Where was that reenactment, Arcola, Ill.?
If so we were going to go but it got just to hot,95 degrees. What kind of turn out was there?
Gary

Yep that was Arcola, and it was really hot, but the breeze helped. The turn out was pretty good. I would say it was maybe 50 Germans, and 50 Allied troops (US, British, Polish, Canadian) and they had two stuart tanks, Two 2 1/2 ton trucks, two jeeps, one 251 halftrack, one Tiger tank, and other various artillary and motorcycles. It was a real blast!

WW II looks "swell". I used to do it until I realized that I was twice as old as my WW II veteran dad when the war was over.

Good luck and thanks for the photos!
