I picked up a couple of loose TSSD Indians and painted them to go with some conversions of Steve Weston Mexican women.

Well done, Scott. Nicely painted with an imaginative display. My money is on the Mexican women. They look like a no-nonsense group of ladies.

Thanks again gents. I picked a bag of the second set. I'm only going to paint one of each.

What a useful series. Plenty of braves firing weapons and moving for a large set up and detail enough for individual display figures. I can see making some conversions to make the poses used more than once appear as individual braves.

I have to stop with a few figures as the Plains Indian Wars aren't my period but a lot of collectors like it.

Now it TSSD made some Apaches, They could fight Steve Weston's Mexicans!

Hahahahaha...

everytime I see the title of this thread...

"Meanwhile, back at the ranch...."

I think of the lyrics to the Jethro Tull song...

"Skating Away"...

I just had to say that................:D:D:D

I was refering to the childish joke; "Grandma was "B#@ting Off" the Indians."

Tull's song is one of my favorite's to.

Nice work - what is the basic color you are using for the buckskin clothing?

Gary B.

Delta Acrylic "Ivory" and "Flesh". I'm trying to match some 1800s paintings of Indians.

They were colorful!

Those paint jobs came out great, must pick up a set of those indians.

Bring a friend and buy both sets. Split the doubles of the poses between the two of you.

Love Tull. Big fan. Indians look dynamite.
I painted about 200 15mm Plains Indians some 20 years ago.My wargaming friends and I were all reading " THE PLAINSMAN" series by Terry C. Johnston.
I found that painting Native Indians more of a challenge than Napoleonic Cavalry
. Getting that natural earthy look was a bit difficult to get the right look.
You've done them very well.
The TSSD figures are really very very good.I'm tempted to buy lots of them, CTS mounted Indians, ect, ect, ect.I like to collect tub fulls of figs but I know I'll never paint them !
Still really good series.

It could be harder to paint 20 individuals as opposed to 20 uniformed soldiers.

Thanks for the comments!
