We are happy to present the long awaited addition of charging French Knights at the Battle of Agincourt. Sets MED042-MED047 add French Knights during their fateful and disastrous charge at Agincourt. Unable to flank the English line due to the wooded ground on their flank and unable to penetrate the archer stakes to their front, the French Knights suffered horribly from the hail of arrows launched by the English Longbows. With armor typically only on their heads and chests, the Knight's horses were struck repeatedly with the high arching arrows causing them to careen out of control and severely disorganizing the attack. The result is that the French Cavalry were cut to pieces with horrible losses for very little gain. As one of the iconic elements of this famous and gruesome affair, we present the Knights as they would have appeared at the outset of their charge, adorned in heraldry and majestic in appearance, these make for wonderful and classic military miniatures. Though designed for Agincourt, these figures can also serve on several other battlefields as well. We sincerely hope you enjoy the new, and highly sought after, addition to the series.

Please note that these figures were designed such that the face shield of the helmets can be displayed raised or lowered.

Matt,
Is MED045 French Knight - Seigneur de Raineval different than MED018 Valeran de Raineval - Comte de Fauquembergues?

I love these and they are now my collecting priority!

I agree. Looks amazing. I did check my “Agincourt” diorama and because I depict a siege, there is really no logical way to integrate knights on horseback. :(.

Guess you need another diorama!

Many besieged fortifications have sally ports through which counter attacks can be launched. The sally of a troop of Knights could be the lord of the manor escaping; many scenarios are possible to permit the addition of mounted forces.

Guess you need another diorama!

On another note, has anyone figured out where the second arrow on MED044 French Wounded Knight - Louis du Bois-Bourdon by First Legion goes?

Seems to belong in his arm, but there is no hole. Is it supposed to be glued onto his arm so it is just caught in his maile on his arm?
