The inaugural K&C meet and greet at the Donnybrook "THE TOY SOLDIER EXPERIENCE" store and follow on dinner, was hailed a success by all that attended. A steady stream of collectors filed thru the shop all day, viewing the new July releases, while being overwhelmed with the vast amount of K&C product present, given just about every piece made for the last 10 years is on display. Howard and Jenny Woods made everyone so welcome and behind the scenes went to hugh efforts to make it such an enjoyable day, such as having a Light Horse member in attendance and also a collector showing original German uniforms in mint condition. Andy was in fine form and explained how his business had grown from humble beginnings to where it is today and fielded questions thrown up by 20 new to the hobby collectors at the dinner. Good to see a couple of young people taking an interest. As we now all know, the push for new releases the next 18 months will be all about the various anniversaries coming up, WW1, Waterloo, WW11. As usual Andy was signing heaps of autographs. Andy was blown away when he visited the Victorian Shrine of remembrance to all Australians that served in war, the best in his words that he has ever seen. From Andy's comments the 3 states he visited on the East coast of Australia in his whirl wind tour were all different, but equally enjoyable.:salute::, Robin.

Thanks for posting the info and pics. The Light Horse member (soldier) is just great. I wish that someone would host a dinner like Yours here in Florida (USA). Thanks again: 'Mr Colt 45' :salute::

Robin,
Thanks for posting your report on yet another successful visit to another Australian state for Andy.
I'm sure that all who attended enjoyed their 'Toy Soldier Experience' and that Howard was a most agreeable host.
Maybe next time I can make it over, so well done.
John
