Hi all

Here's a couple of vignettes commisioned by Gringo40's for their display at shows.
Figures are 40mm and look quite good.
You can check the range here:

11th inf. reg. BATALLON TOLUCA
I wanted to place the figures in a different enviroment (not the typical desert )so I thought that it might have been possible that some action would have taken place in a heavy forest/jungle and maybe there could have been some aztec ruins..who knows?
I like the bizarre look of the "napoleonic" uniforms and Jungle forrest.. In this ocasion I paint the flag becasue it had to be shown as it is sold.

MEXICAN MARINES AT VERACRUZ

I took the risk and broke the "rule" by placing a figure giving his back to the viewer in other to give an impression of something going on. This also allows the figures to bee seen completely in the display.

{eek3}. That about captures my feelings when I first saw those two scenes, especially the first (the jungle one). Truly outstanding and creative!

Just stunning pieces. You don't have to paint them like that to appreciate just how good they are. Well done - johnnybach.

I can't say anything more than I already have.He is a super talent.

TOLUCA is not far from Mexico City so Aztec Ruins might be part of the background for this unit in it's home or the fighting around Mexico City.
