Here is a better poll, not that the other one should be disregarded but this one will be better for the overall forum.

The Choices are:

Yes

No

Maybe

I Don't Collect This Range

Scott

This 2nd poll is just going to muddy things. The first poll should have started "For Collectors of the Arnhem Series ..." But it didn't, so it will capture some "NOs" that wouldn't collect Arnhem anyway, but some of those "NO" voters are voting against any (P) figure in the future. What I think is significant is the large percentage who said they will buy and the undecided. Remember, it's not a vote where the majority wins. Even if the NO side "wins" by a wide margin there still could be a substantial number of (P) buyers.

Good point. To exaggerate the point the wooden warbirds have always been super expensive yet K&C keeps producing them in ultra low numbers. There is a premium market out there to be sure and it doesn't require a high volume of sales to sustain it. I view "P" as likely not that different.

As to the poll I voted maybe because if I see a figure I just have to have because its an awesome pose or fits into my collection because its unique I'll likely get one. However the days of me picking up all the OMG releases when they come out are definitely over. :(

Don't collect them anymore and may just sell the ones I have for the same reasons stated in previous posts.

My vote was "I don't collect them". Don't want to skew the results.

Arnhem44Mad, several Months back I recall you were upset when the possibility that this series was not going to be done again was mentioned. Now that it is a reality what are "Your" own intentions pertaining to these figures ???

I have preordered all six and will get the rest as they are released, including vehicles, prices are higher, but they do look excellent, and will fit into my diorama, which I am increasing.

Right now I am unsure whether to get these. Spoke with my dad who told me just to buy them if I wanted them but it's a bit of a matter of principle. I am unsure and will await Andy's responses.

What response could Andy provide that would have you buy them? Is it just an opportunty to engage with him directly that you are seeking or are you really entertaining the possibility that he might provide an 'explanation' that would be entirely acceptable to you? You have said they are too dear, so whatever Andy says, they will remain, presumably, 'too dear'. If it is a matter of principle to you, whatever magic Andy may weave, he cannot be expected to alter your principles in a single post. I have read your posts, and I think you know your own mind and have settled on a firmly held opinion, which is your right. You may just to have to accept the end result of that opinion, which in this case, means no MG. Every time I go into my TS shop (once a week) it is an exercise in accepting that I cannot have everything I want.

I suspect that any engagement you have with Andy would be like me apologising to my mother-in-law - sure, she wants to hear it, but it is not going to make a difference regardless of what is said. It is just an opportunity to create further ill feeling. The product has a price. Too dear, don't buy. Dear, but worth it, buy.

For the record, I think your Dad's comment is as good as anything that has been written in these Arnhem threads.

I'm agree. I'm sure Andy is doing his best for K&C and would not expect any thing else. K&C seems to be trying to capture another segment of the market beyond it's historical good product - good price position. He has made a number of strategic moves in the past few years like adding new ranges, opening new markets (Australia), and creating new products which were successful (WWI and WWII Aircraft) Now he is making a strategic move into a higher price segment of the market for business reasons - whatever they might be. I don't like it for several reasons, but my role is not running K&C - It's being a collector and it's up to me to make the best of things and make the best decisions I can for myself as a consumer. And I certainly don't expect him to call me up, explain what he is doing, why he is doing it, and ask permission. So Scott, I think Jack has given you the best advice - listen to your father.

There is your answer........Buy them if "You" want them :salute:: I personally will be checking these new OMG figures out at the Texas Show, so .....More to follow but I feel seeing these "In Person" is the key here.
