Just received a post card in the mail today advertising this event. States over 100 tables with dealers from 10 states. It will be held at the holiday inn in Livonia which is the old site of the Michtoy show. Wonder what dealers will be there? Appears Hobby Bunker will be there. Glad to see a show back in Michigan.

Owner or previous owner got in money trouble??
What's the story with Michtoy??

Last I heard Michigan toy soldier co was under or in the process of being sold to new ownership. I believe it was one of the employees that was gonna take it over. As for the show it appears from the post card that Hobby Bunker and and a fellow named Joseph Saine are either putting the show on together or have a part in it.

To the best of my knowledge MTSC has not been sold. Not as of 3 weeks ago anyway. The Michigan Toy Soldier Extravaganza has nothing to do with MTSC as far as I can tell and I'm not even sure if they're setting up for it. It is some of the same vendors (like me), some who left and hopefully will return and even better yet maybe some new. I'm not going to bad mouth MTSC or anyone there. Being part of their shows was alot of fun for me for the past 10+ years and I'm just angry/sad it's gone. I really liked the way they brought in militaria collectors, reenactors and tried make a family event of it instead of a bunch of "us" trading the same old stuff and stories. New Show, New (old) Location so lets hope for the best.

They are still in business and slowly rebuilding from the transgressions of one. I wish them well- they have been fair with me.

Anyone make it to todays show? I got stuck at work and didn't make it. Was curious how it turned out.

Well things weren't so good and I think it was all due to lack of promotion. Just did not see some of those people who were there like clockwork for 10yrs. I'm guessing they would've been there if they had known. Not combining the show with the militaria collectors and reenactors hurt also. Hobby Bunker, the Marxman, Ted Toy were among those who traveled from out of state to be there and we're very grateful. Also, saw some local guys who strayed away over the years returned. Not sure when the next show will be but some of the guys from MTSC told me they would get back into it and try to make it what it was. Not sure if they're gonna do it under the MTSC banner? All I can do is hope for better things in the future.
